The Catholic Association for the Promotion of Religious and Social Affairs as well as for the Support of Catholic Universities worldwide, ACAWORK, aims to: assist, within the framework of Catholic pastoral care, in the construction of places of worship and instruction, dispensaries and hospitals, and to partially support and finance the operation of such institutions; to provide information on religious needs in developing countries, particularly in Africa; to support the operation and development of Catholic universities as well as the potential founding of new Catholic universities serving developing countries. In exceptional cases, it may also assist other universities if compelling circumstances require it. It pursues a completely disinterested and public-interest vocation.
