Animal-assisted psychotherapy

Animal-assisted psychotherapy in individual sessions for children, adolescents and adults; with independent psychotherapists and the University of Basel’s Centre for Psychotherapy, reimbursable through basic insurance, supplementary insurance or IV.

Resilience group

Animal-assisted resilience group for children and adolescents with stressful life events; small-group programme to strengthen social skills, self-confidence, self-efficacy, as well as to recognise and regulate emotions.

Horse whispering and horse strengths

Two children’s and youth offerings with horses: a leisure course for handling, caring for and communicating with horses, as well as a psychological small-group offering to promote self-confidence, self-perception and social competence.

Holiday camp

Holiday camp at Bäumlihof for children and adolescents with activities around animals and farm life; day camps or overnight camps, depending on the holiday programme and age.

School on the farm

Two-hour visit to a farm for school classes and kindergartens with a nature and animal experience, knowledge about the origins of food, and hands-on projects such as focusing on animals or pressing cider (Mosten).

Violence prevention

Violence prevention workshop “Zämästoh zum wyterko” in cooperation with the Basel-Stadt Cantonal Police for children, adolescents and school classes; group exercises on cohesion, fairness and team spirit.

Animal-assisted occupational therapy

Animal-assisted occupational therapy at Bäumlihof in collaboration with the Team3plus practice; compas provides infrastructure as well as animal and human assistants.

Group offering for people with dementia

Group offering in cooperation with Alzheimer beider Basel with playful memory training, including animals on the farm.

Leisure offering for people with special support needs

Varied leisure offering at Bäumlihof in cooperation with insieme Basel for course participants with special support needs.

Offerings in cooperation with regional institutions

Co-developed offerings with the University of Basel, Basel-Stadt Police, the Basel-Stadt Department of Education, UKBB, Alzheimer beider Basel, Generationenhaus Neubad and insieme.
