The purpose of the Foundation is to act for public health, the quality of care, and scientific progress, by placing the fundamental rights of the patient at the center of its action. The Foundation aims in particular to enable those concerned to retain full control of their personal data, particularly medical data. The Foundation places itself at the service of human dignity. It refers to the principles of subsidiarity and solidarity. It aims, in concert and in an interdependent manner, at the individual good of human persons, the collective good of these persons, and the common good of society as a whole. The Foundation has no profit-making purpose.
