The foundation aims to award scholarships in accordance with the following provisions. Two-thirds of the income from the foundation's assets are to be made available to the rector of the University of Basel for the award of scholarships to students of the medical faculty who are Swiss citizens. One-third of the income from the foundation's assets is to be made available to the board of the Jewish community of Basel for the award of scholarships to students of any faculty at any university or technical college. The scholarship holders must be of Jewish descent and religion and citizens of Basel or the State of Israel.
