The purpose of the cooperative is to create and operate a hygienically impeccable water supply in the Gitschenen-Horlachen area through joint self-help. The water cooperative acquires all the rights necessary for the creation and operation of the water supply system, in particular the permit for the use of the springs in the Geissboden, the building rights for the Alp Gitschenen reservoir and the pumping station in the Chneuwis, as well as the necessary easement rights.
