The Sirnach WAS Housing Cooperative for the Elderly promotes the possibility for older residents of the municipality of Sirnach to live independently and self-sufficiently in their own homes, in accordance with their age. The cooperative sets itself the following tasks: It builds its own retirement homes with accompanying infrastructure. It acquires residential units in multi-unit buildings, which it adapts to be age-friendly as needed. It takes over residential units (houses, apartments) that are bequeathed to it through legacies.
