The purpose of the foundation is primarily to support needy members of the Dreyfus and Neumann families, with priority given to any needy descendants of the founders. Secondly, needy people of the Jewish faith may be supported in accordance with the following provisions. The foundation board decides, subject to the following provisions, at its sole discretion, both on which persons are to be supported and how the income and capital gains designated for support are to be distributed. However, it is stipulated that no support shall be paid out under one hundred francs.
